SOUTH COAST PERMACULTURE GUILD  MONTHLY MEETING TUESDAY JUNE I5  7:00 PM

This months meeting will start with a plant and seed exchange you don't have to have plants or seeds to share come and get some to plant from 7:00 - 7:30pm. Then followed with the regular meeting featuring a excellent permaculture video with Bill Mollison.It was done for the New Garden TV series done for Public Television.  Discussion to follow especially focusing on the successful plant and seed fair on  Sat.June 5 .To keep the energy of the seed fair going  bring your plants, seeds and advice to share at the beginning of each meeting from now on. Bring idea and pojects on going to share

July 9 Friday  " Natural Building and Social Justice" Slideshow and talk with Robert  Bolman 7:00 pm $3 donation at the Community Environment Council Gildea Resource Center  930 Miramonte Dr Santa Barbara  CA  sponsored by South Coast  Permaculture Guild  and the Community Environmental Council Garden Program

        This incredible slide show using to projectors starts with the oversized, overpriced, environmentally clueless houses that have become so common in recent years. And then points out there is an alternative to this kind of housing. Mr Bolman shows many examples of Natural Building. He will focus on the highly innovative straw bale and earth structure he is presently building in Eugene, Oregon. From straw bale to cob & adobe to the earth ship concept, he will show a broad overview of natural building, utilizing passive solar design, solar hot water heating, PV electricity, use of gray water, water catchment systems and permaculture designs . The show will cover  the social issues around poor distribution of resources in the world and the need for voluntary simplicity. And why we need to do our best for future generations .
