Chanterelles, morels, and deadly amanitas are only a few members of the mysterious local mushroom flora. Meet the mushrooms of the Santa Barbara Region in a Thursday evening lecture and a Saturday morning foray into Los Padres National Forest. Dr. Bob Cummings, the foremost expert on Santa Barbara fungi, will present a fascinating lecture Thursday evening on the types of mushrooms found in our area. Please bring examples for Dr. Cummings to identify and discuss at the lecture!
