OK, you guys, if you haven't been and you've been meaning to come, this Sunday is the date!   It is going to be a big party, a pre-party for our next week's party at our Sunland food forest/nursery.  (More info on our eco-artist cooperative party Live Art, Live Earth at myspace.com/theedgebetweenuniverses). Please forward this to anybody you feel might be interested!

We will be designing potted plants in pattern language and other fun shapes.
We'll be creating intriguing spaces in the forest for art and other aesthetic things
We'll be creating fun things in the raised beds and other nooks and niches
We'll be doing some work too, transplanting, labeling plants, creating some miniswales on a steep hill, moving some dirt around.

If anybody has outdoor lighting that is aesthetic and you'd be willing to lend it to us for the event on the 15th, please bring it! (if you can't come Sun, we'll meet you any time or pick it up even).  We also still need some tables and if you have a really funky armchair (like one with giraffe arms or something like that), hmm, we could use that for a few things ;-)  If you have an interesting shallow container like a cool funky bowl that you're tired of or that's chipped or something, bring it along.   Ya gotta come just to see what we're going to do with all this stuff (and you can help us figure it out too :-)

If you have any cool even somewhat sustainable stuff like a solar oven or clay model of an ecovillage or a yurt or a mini cob bread oven or a veggie oil motorbike or ? that you'd be willing to display, let us know!   We're looking for sculpture with an eco theme as well.   Got some woven blankets you'd like to loan for a day?

I'd like to hear people's creative opinions on the most sustainable thing to burn in a fire pit....

And we're still looking for some African or AfroBrazilian drummers :-)

And if you can't come to the Sunday party, then come to the real thing on Sat, 15 Sept, from 1-10 PM.

Love, Cory
