Soft Boundaries

It's Easy and Fun, You Should Totally
Do It.

Tuesday November 13th 8PM

Join us for the first open air discussion of our yearly lecture series!

We have invited groups of people with very different goals but sometimes similar strategies to come talk with us about "Soft Boundaries". Their are many different interpretations of this term, and we'll be exploring them all - except as a chess strategy.

The first discussion this coming Tuesday will be about what possesses someone to run a tiny social experiment like an independent arts organization. What fuels these projects, how do they start, and where do they go. What is the reaction public and private to developing a cultural agenda that may be completely incomprehensible to the majority of people in the world. What do you do when those projects become responsible for actual cultural quality. Is there something about the neighborhood, the political climate, the water quality that makes things so cool here? Is it something in the air, the theory, the history that makes it so hot here?

Speakers:
Mark Allen - Machine Project || Jason Brown - Betalevel || Susan Simpson - Manual Archive || Samuel Vasquez - Eighteen-Thirty

This event takes place within the current environment Density Fields. If you have not seen it at night, it's awesome, come soak it in and participate in this evening discussion.
Bundle up! Its going to be coldish!
