Hi Rachel,
I'm not able to attend and help, as we have school and an awards banquet Friday. If there are other future activities that are similar, we would like to be invited to help. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. I would like to involve my seniors to perhaps get community service and develop teams that help the community environmentally/permaculturally as an integral part of their science research project course this fall. The course is a research methodology and applications course whose theme is "Urban Environmental Issues and Their Solutions".
Thanks,
Dennis Pilien

Subject: [Lapg] [Scpg] : Volunteers needed this Friday to install a LIVING ROOF

The Ojai Foundation is currently working on installing a living roof on our new council house building.

We need a few good volunteers on Friday, May 23 from 8am-5 pm to help install the planting medium.  Come join us in the process and learn all about how it happens as we troubleshoot and work together to make the world a little greener.. one roof at a time!!!  :)

Please email or call a.s.a.p. if you are interested.

"If there is any positive side to stark changes coming our way, it may be in the benefits of close communal relations, of having to really work intimately (and physically) with our neighbors, to be part of an enterprise that really matters and to be fully engaged in meaningful social enactments instead of being merely entertained to avoid boredom.

Years from now, when we hear singing at all, we will hear ourselves, and we will sing with our whole hearts."
