We&#39;re holding a Natural Building event which is part of a re-skilling series benefiting the Westside Permaculture Gatherings.&nbsp; Join us on March 7th, for an Introductory workshop on Light Straw Clay Construction.&nbsp; Space is limited!!!<br>
<br>This one day workshop will begin with a presentation on Light
Straw-Clay as a building material, including the rationale behind
natural building and how this method can apply within a conventionally
constructed home.<br>
<br>
The bulk of the workshop will be hands-on, which will continue the
infill of light straw clay on a conventionally framed 2x4 structure.
Participants will make the clay-slip, mix the clay-slip and straw to
create the light straw clay, and apply it to the walls. By the end of
the workshop everyone will be proficient in the use of light straw-clay
and will have completed the infill of a Light Straw-Clay Compost Toilet
