Should be fun!

"...the greatest change we need to make is from consumption to production, even if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of us do this, there is enough for everyone.
Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on the very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food and shelter."

Hi there Eco-Yogi,

Yes, it is that time of the month again...our next Eco-Yoga Practice is this coming Sunday evening, September 20th 6-9pm.

I am really happy and proud this month to present to you my friend, my student and a wonderful teacher, Joan Stevens.  She will come to talk to us about Permaculture, which has become one of my favorite things to learn more about. I know you will be excited to learn all the ways you can make a difference.

Here is Joan’s inspirational biography:

Joan Stevens has been a student of permaculture for the last decade. She continues to be humbled and awed by the power of this design discipline! It combines her desire to transform the future with her love of nature and beauty.

Joan has studied with the best designers and teachers on the West Coast and has been teaching and studying with Larry Santoyo for several years.  She has dedicated her life to transforming the relationship that people have to the planet through her teaching  - as a high school environmental science teacher, yoga and permaculture. Her mission is to build an Eden on earth for future generations.

Joan is excited to see the world around her as it could be – renewable home-scale energy systems, rainwater catchment from every roof, edible trees lining our streets, gardens throughout peoples yards and neighbors sharing the fruits of the harvest with each other.  She is excited to have just the right team of allies coming together to make it happen at just the right time!  Go Team!

The new flyer with practice description is below.

I really hope you will join me for this practice.

Sunday, September 20th: Yoga & Permaculture

The science of yoga offers sustainable health for the whole universe.

The science of permaculture offers us a easily accessible, intelligent, conscious way to realign with this goal.

Joan Stevens a teacher of high school environmental science; permaculture and yoga will speak and will, no doubt, inspire you to join her in her mission to “build an Eden for the generations to come”.

Jasmine will lead an “on the mat” practice encouraging an understanding of personal permaculture and we will enjoy a wholesome supper and conversation together.
