The Permaculture Academy Presents: Hands-On Sustainability Series – Design & Build an Outdoor Kitchen 

Highland Park, Los Angeles

Participants will learn to design & build a backyard earthen oven from Permaculture Academy Director, Larry Santoyo.

Design variations and applications of “cob construction” will be discussed and demonstrated.

Cob is an earthen building material that is made of clay, sand, straw, and water.  Building requires no cement, no expensive tools or materials.  Once the material is dry, cob is incredibly strong.  Cob has its origins in millennia of traditional building, in some of the oldest permanent human dwellings.

Be prepared to get dirty!!
