After more than a year of dead-ends, I have finally found a nursery in Fallbrook that has these rare connoisseur gourmet avocado trees in stock -- the Hawaiian Kona Sharwill, a "B" type flower, and the Jan Boyce, an "A" type tree. They also have Lamb Hass, another "A" flower.

They do not advertise delivery, but, I have been negotiating with the owner and his son and they are coming through Pasadena on Wednesday for a large delivery. I put in an order with them and they are going to deliver trees to me on their way through town. The delivery cost is $100 flat fee, but I have another person in on the order already to help split fees.

The Sharwill and the Lamb Hass are available in 5 gallon and 15 gallon sizes. The Jan Boyce is only in a 15 gallon size. The 5 gallon trees are just under $30 and the 15 gallon are $65. The rootstock is Zutano and the nursery is Atkins Nursery, around since 1955.

Would anyone like to add to this order? If you research these trees, you will find that they are supposed to be truly something special.

I do need to know asap, by tomorrow morning, Tuesday morning.
