Can solar lead the South Coast to energy independence?
UCSB Nobel Laureate Walter Kohn and solar installer Fred Sisson of Renewable Energy Concepts will explore both the theoretical and practical sides of solar energy as part of a CEC lecture series featuring some of the most creative and outspoken pioneers in the renewable energy field. Each week of the 7-week series focuses on a particular solution, such as solar energy, wind turbines, or wave power.

The duo will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 in the Fleischmann Auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, CEC’s partner in the events. A suggested donation of $3 is requested.
