Nestled in one of America's most wild and scenic areas, the Snake River Canyon,

a very special project is underway... An enterprise that weaves together the elements of climate, flora, animals, water and soil management and human needs to create intricately connected and productive communities that are socially just, ecologically sustainable and economically viable...

Located in the Hagerman Valley. With an elevation of 2,900 feet and located in the Snake River Canyon, it is very protected and referred to as the "Banana Belt" of Idaho! The canyon was carved 18,000 years ago by the great Bonneville flood, a massive volume of turbulent water that broke loose, creating an amazing and unique geology. We will also visit "Thousand Springs," which is quite literally a thousand springs and waterfalls draining from the Snake River Aquifer out of 200 foot high, vertical canyon wall...

The teaching team is led by veteran Permaculture Designer, Larry Santoyo of EarthFlow Design Works who will be joined by Bill McDorman, President of Seeds Trust Inc. and other local experts -Plus a special visit from Toby Hemenway, Author, Gaia's Garden, a home-scale guide to Permaculture.
