If you've been wanting to learn more about permaculture...and would like to learn more about Hawaii's own traditional farming, this might be the opportunity for you.

During this 2-week permaculture design certification course on Maui, you will walk in the footsteps of the Mahi 'ai, the native farmers. Learn about the world of permaculture and the culture of the Hawaiian Islands. Observe the principles that make ecological systems self-sustaining - within a Hawaiian native cultural lens that offers a view into a more ancient relationship with our environment. In addition to the foundations of permaculture, the course will include a special focus on traditional environmental knowledge (TEK), Hawaiian culture, and agricultural systems with Rev. M. Kalani Souza.
