This sounds like a very worthwhile project but it’s important to know that Venezuela is a Marxist state run by a dictator. It’s a very unstable place politically and economically and will remain so until the national government becomes more democratic.

Subject: [Scpg] Permaculture in Venezuela

Hey all,

A good friend of mine recently bought a large tract of land in Venezuela and is beginning a permaculture community/landscape from scratch.   He is part of a nonprofit he created called "Terra Viva- Soluciones Organicos"  (Living Earth-Organic Solutions) http://terravivasolucionesorganicas.ning.com/, which looks for permaculture-minded solutions throughout South America.  He is looking for people who would be interested in being a part of his from-the-ground-up project in a country that really needs an overhaul in many ways.  If you are interested in traveling South America and doing some permaculture, this would definitely be a great spot to hit.  He is doing very good work.  For more info, you can contact Orlando at orlandorivero@gmail.com

Happy permaculturing
