Season 1!
This year's (the seventh) Fruit Tree Tour was an
amazing success. The new school orchards once again surpassed
all past years in terms of the number of different varieties of
fruit the students will be eating right from their
schoolyard.
Students celebrated their new orchards with
hand-painted signs they planted beside each tree to carry the messages
of change that they wished to share with their communities. The 2010
Fruit Tree Tour program brought Green Theatre to new depths (by
going underground) with WendyBob the earthworm. Over 8,000
students (plus the principals and teachers) took a pledge with Common
Vision's theatre troupe to work together to create a positive impact
on this great planet. What a tour!

In the last 6 years,
the Fruit Tree Tour Program has directly impacted 45,000 students,
transformed over 120 low income schools and community centers into
abundant orchards, and planted over 3,500 fruit trees. In the
Spring of 2010, 27 eco-educators and performing artists will once
again travel in the world's largest veggie- oil-powered caravan to
plant trees, play drums, dance, perform, and write eco-rhymes with
youth and adults from San Diego to Sacramento.
