"NOT THE ANSWER" PANEL DISCUSSION ON OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING- THURSDAY

The Santa Barbara Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will host "Not the Answer:" An Activist Approach to Offshore Oil Drilling" on Thursday, June 17, 7:00 pm at the Faulkner Gallery of the Santa Barbara Public Library.

This informative, engaging evening will feature Charlie Eckberg, an environmental consultant, Director of Get Oil Out (GOO!), and a veteran of the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill, and Angela Howe, legal manager of the Surfrider Foundation's Global office. "Birth of a Movement," an excellent short documentary about the infamous 1969 blowout of Platform A off Summerland by local filmmaker Paul Lynch, will be screened as part of the program.
