Interesting post on the future as predicted by Richard Moore. I did a brief read on Ch. 1 and felt called to write a quick message here.

Whatever value the rest of the book holds, I personally want to acknowledge how much story, interpretation, and prediction is being spoken with the language of "what IS going to happen." Maybe one could argue that this is a likely future if we don't do anything about it, which could present an interesting case for action, but I'm not hearing any of that here.

An example:
"In our post-2012 world, we have for the first time one centralized global government, and one ruling elite clique, a kind of extended royal family, the lords of finance. As we can see with the IMF, WHO, and the WTO, and the other pieces of the embryonic world government, the institutions of governance will make no pretensions about popular representation or democratic responsiveness. Rule will be by means of autocratic global bureaucracies, who take their marching orders from the royal family."

I ask for your forgiveness ahead of time if somehow I have completely misunderstood. My interest here isn't creating a "battle between theories" - something that separates people working for the common good - I just want to free the future and bring it back into the world of possibility, responsibility, choice, and creation.

With gratitude that the future is unwritten...

for cctr-ers, Below are drafts of Richard Moore's newest work... When I was
in Ecuador with him (at a conference type of workshop)... Michael Brownlee
and I  spoke to the group about relocalization (before Transition was here
in the  states) and Richard, the organizer of the major 10 day event in
Ecuador became  super enamored with the idea. If you feel moved and drawn to
communicate with  him go for it....
