Worm Composting Workshop: Building & Maintaining Worm Bins for your Home or Workplace

with Brenton Kelly, Quail Springs Land Steward & Livestock Manager

Saturday, August 21st, 10am - 3pm

at a downtown Santa Barbara residence

Cost: $30 in advance, $40 at the door. Couples $45 in advance, $60 at the door. Kids are free.

Brenton Kelly has been singing the praises of the mighty earthworm for the past 25 years. He's introduced 1000s of folks to the basics of the wormbin in classrooms, festivals, workshops, and as a co-owner of Island Seed and Feed.

Learn how worms efficiently and easily compost a wide range of your present 'waste' stream - food, shredded paper, and more. If you have concerns or problems with your current backyard compost pile, worms may be the solution.

Morning session: Setting up & maintaining a worm box successfully, caring for your worms, and get your questions answered about composting.

Afternoon Session: Learn how to build your worm box, get plans & a materials list to build one for your home or workplace.

Bring a bag lunch, plenty of water and a picnic blanket. Parents with children interested to learn are welcome to attend together. Workshop limited to 20 participants.
