dear guilders-
as many of you know, brother bill roley is a long time leader in 
ecosensibility for this region and beyond, founding permaculture institute of 
southern california, sprout acres, center for regenerative studies, and 
teacher to scrubs like myself and thousands better...as a sensitive energy 
being i know he'd appreciate positive vibes towards his healing...here is 
info on his current life challenges...

Dear Friends and Colleagues of Bill Roley,


As you no doubt have heard by now, Bill was diagnosed with throat cancer early

this year.  After extensive research, alternative therapies and soul

searching, Bill made the difficult decision to undergo radiation as part of 
his

treatment.   In April he completed a six-week radiation regimen, then on May 
17th went through follow-up surgery to remove lymph glands in his throat. 


The cancer was originally found in his right tonsil and since radiation to 
the throat

affects everything in the region, Bill is doing his best with his speech,

eating and drinking.  Understandably, he has lost weight and strength and 
contacting friends now takes additional effort.   Only the great spirit knows 
what the recovery will include, but  prayers and blessings are sure to help.  


All of us who have depended on Bill over the past 20 + years for the

regenerative vision he embodies and for his generous words can

understand the challenges of his health.  After volunteering years of his

life for environmental restoration he now needs to focus on his own

sustainability.


 

Although Bill has medical insurance, it covers only a portion of the total

costs.  It doesn't cover all the medical, the alternative therapies, the

loss of income or the substantial daily needs.  That is why we are asking 
friends to send funds to help with his recovery. 


We are asking you to send  what you can on a monthly basis, for the

next few months.  $10, $25, $50, $100 or more.  You know

what you are capable of and Bill will surely be grateful for your help.
