Greetings!

There will be a special tree planting workshop this coming Wednesday (9-1) at
Cal Poly's Student Experimental Farm, and all are invited to attend. Trees
planted in the upper areas will grow to provide windbreak and shelter for the
Farm site. Redwoods, native oaks, cedars, cottonwoods and several
varieties of
fruit will all be among the species planted. This workshop has been made
possible by a "Partners for Peace Grant" awarded in commemoration of Cesar
Chavez. Join us for a morning of fun at the Farm and tribute to Mr. Chavez's
outstanding leadership.

Also, our community supported agriculture program (CSA) has begun. Harvests
are every Monday and Thursday morning from 7-10:30. Feel free to join us on
any Mon or Thurs morning as we greet the sun and celebrate the Farm's
abundance!

Hope your summer is off to a GREAT start!
