Due to an overwhelming response to the  recent Teacher Training at 
Island Mountain Institute (in California),  we decided to offer 
another course this July in Oregon.

Dates: July 29th-Aug 3rd, 2001
Location: Mountain Grove Centre, Glendale, Oregon

Permaculture is poised for a quantum leap, yet there is a shortage
of teachers to spread the word.  Through this Teacher Training, PC 
Design course graduates will learn a whole systems approach to 
teaching Permaculture courses with a focus on team teaching and 
confidence building.
Permaculture Design Course graduates will receive a Teacher Training 
Certificate.

Topics include:
* Philosophy & Ethics of Instruction
* Adult Learning Styles
* Marketing, Economics & Planning
* Presentations & Facilitation
* Organizing Modules & Handouts
* Time and Participant Guidance
* Exercises and Visual Aids
* Evaluations and Feedback
* Tricks of the Trade
* Keeping Up the Spirit
* Staying Healthy

Instructors:
Jude Hobbs is a horticulturist, Permaculture designer, and 
instructor. Since 1982, her firm, Cascadia Landscape Design, has 
focused on environmental design solutions for urban and rural 
settings. Jude has offered Permaculture workshops and courses 
throughout the West for 12 years.  Her teaching techniques are based 
on developing curricula that encompass diverse learning styles.  Jude 
has written A Guide to Multi-Functional Hedgerows and tends a forest 
garden in Eugene, Oregon.

Tom Ward is an enthno-botanist, eco-forester and Permaculture 
designer.  He has extensive multi-cultural experience in the USA and 
overseas.  He is the author of Greenward Ho: An Ecological Approach 
to Sustainable Health.  Tom has developed curricula for Permaculture 
courses at Laney College and D-Q University in California.  He has 
taught Permaculture Design Courses for 15 years and is based in 
Ashland, Oregon where he continues to build an ecotopian culture.

Schedule: Saturday 2:00 PM to Friday late PM.  Last Saturday's 
breakfast is included.

Fee: $375
  Includes instruction,
handouts, camping and meals.  Limited parking, $20 refund if you carpool.

Mt. Grove Centre is an educational center surrounded by 450 acres of meadows,
forests, streams and ponds.
