Monte Vista Schools Needs help on Sat Feb 26 and Mar 10 for Fruit Tree 
Orchard Planting and Celebration (First  Santa Barbara County School

Feb 26 Sat 9 -4 pm Monte Vista School Mulching Party to prepare for Fruit 
Tree Orchard Planting on Thurs March 10
We are covering a large area 175x 30 feet with Compost, Card Board and 
Mulch during the Day, plus also mulching The Nature Trail
Please bring Shovels, Pitch Forks ,gloves ,Wheel Barrows,Card Board (let us 
know if you have a source of Card Board )
and bring food to share

Celebration Monte Vista School Santa Barbara
By getting students and their teachers in touch with the Earth by planting 
fruit trees we create a catalyst to transform the schools in California 
into physical models of sustainability. Fruit trees begin to help transform 
social paradigm of scarcity to abundance.
Part of a Larger Tour of in California Schools Organized by 
www.commonvision.org , Common Vision will be bringing their Veggie Disel 
Bus and Drummers to Celebrate at Auditorium and throw the day

Cob Bench Workshop Mar .25, 26, 27  Friday Sat Sunday 9-5am each day at the 
Lifescape Garden at Santa Barbara Community College with Ianto Evans author 
of The Hand -Sculpted House A Practical and Philosophical Guide to Building

Open to the Public, we are asking for a $10 donation to help cover the 
materials and Honorarium for Ianto Evans

A Sustainable World" is a new radio show airing on KCSB, 91.9 FM, every 
other Friday at 9:00 am. Suzanne Cloutier, Kevin Childerley and Jill 
Cloutier,have created an hour long radio program focused on sustainability, 
permaculture, and creative solutions to environmental and social problems. 
Topics to be discussed include; organic farming and gardening, alternative 
energy and transportation, healthy communities, backyard food forests, seed 
saving, composting, personal health, non-toxic alternatives to household 
products, and natural building. The list of topics is endless.
Each show features interviews with experts in the sustainability movement, 
either live in-studio, or "out in the field," (literally!). There is also a 
news segment, "As The Sustainable World Turns" and a calendar of events.
The goal of the show is to educate, entertain, and inspire listeners and to 
help them become aware that their choices can create positive change in the 
world.
