Wild Dish: Native Foods Explored

Sunday, November 20, 3:00 PM

Feast your eyes and warm your palate during this evening of food and
fun. First, attend a guided tour of the museum's Chumash Gallery. Then
join Chef Loretta Barrett Oden (Potawatomi), host of the upcoming PBS
series Seasoned With Spirit-A Native Cook's Journey, as she provides
insight into traditional Chumash food. Chef Oden will explore what they
ate, how they gathered, and important links between food and Chumash
culture.

Watch a cooking demonstration by Chef Oden and taste several
contemporary dishes using Chumash cuisine as inspiration.
