On Friday, May 12th, at 9:00 PST, Sustainable World will broadcast an interview 
with John Seed. John is the founder and director of the Rainforest Information Centre
in Australia. John has been involved in direct action to save rainforests since 
1979. In 1984 he helped start the Rainforest Action Network in the US.  John has
been called the "the town crier for the  global village" by  the  Christian
Science Monitor.

John co-wrote the book, "Thinking Like a Mountain - Towards a Council of All
Beings" with  Joanna Macy, Pat Fleming and Arne Naess, and conducts Council
of All Beings and other re-Earth ing workshops around the globe. In 1995 he was 
awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM)  by the Australian Government for services
to conservation and the environment. 

Sustainable World also features sustainable business news and a calendar of upcoming
community events.
