LA Permaculture Guild Meeting -
 this Saturday May 8,  6 pm at The Brewery

Meet outside Theory Labs unit 624 - (behind Barbara's Restaurant) 
2100 Main Street - near downtown Los Angeles (free parking on Moulton.) 

We'll proceed to Barbara's for the meeting.  Meet us there in case you are late. 

Afterwards stick around and play at Theory Labs with us. It's Gigsville's fund raising auction. 

We may also be able to check out possible sites for our fundraiser which are also in the Brewery.

Watt's Family Garden Club Earthen Oven Pizza Party & Celebration!
 
We will be starting the fire at 10 am for afternoon pizza's
 
Come on down and see the completed oven and check out how it works.  We will also be starting seeds and working on various projects with the kids.
 
Please bring your favorite pizza toppings and a drink or $5 - 10 donation.

Tentative Project Opportunity:  
 
Pearl of the Pacific Peace Park with James Hubbell in Tijuana is scheduled for 4 weeks this summer, starting in July.   Students from Russia, China, USA, and Mexico will be participating.  The LA Permaculture Guild in cordination with Dr. Bill Roley would like to sponsor and set up a team for designing and installing the plant landscape. It's the perfect way to relax, meet others, practice your technique 
and skills, share favorite patterns and show off your creations. 

If you've made an extra hat, scarf, or sweater you don't need, you can 
leave them to be donated as gifts to the City of Hope for the cancer 
patients or Union Station for the homeless!

BIODIESEL MIXIN MIXER

An introduction to biodiesel and demo of the DIY water heater 
processor --

3 hour presentation given by Jules Dervaes & 10 page "Introduction to 
Biodiesel" available.

Along with a potluck and three biodiesel related videos 

(Fat of the Land, Veggie Van and French Fries to Go!) .  

Cost:   Suggested $5.00 - $10.00 donation

This event includes a potluck so bring healthful food and drink to share!

 HOMEBREW BIODIESEL

Learn the bio-basics: Take part in making a batch of biodiesel from 
waste vegetable oil using the fumeless water heater processor.  
Cost:   $50.00 

Please bring along a "bag lunch"
