.Dry lands Permaculture and Water Systems Workshop.
July 10-August 4, 2006

Learn how to install self sustaining, ecologically designed
Permaculture systems in the high desert of Arizona, USA.

This 'hands-on' workshop will be taught by Brad Lancaster, author of
"Rain Water Harvesting for Drylands", and Andrew Millison, landscape
contractor Permaculture teacher of six years at Prescott College.
Participants will design and install Permaculture landscape features
and systems such as a rainwater harvesting
cistern, a branched-drain greywater system, and a small
biological machine based on the concepts of John Todd, author of
" From Eco-cities to Living Machines". Dr. John Todd will be presenting
a one day seminar on his ideas for ecological water treatment.
The workshop will spend time in the cities of Prescott and Tucson,
learning to integrate Permaculture into the urban environment. The
techniques taught here address the
challenges of developing permaculture systems in the arid desert
environment, but the techniques and disciplines are applicable in
varied climates.
Cost: $1,500
