In 1988 the elders of the oldest of the tribes of New Zealand asked
Barry Brailsford to tell their story and gift their lore to the world.
This was an unprecedented event in history of Maori and an amazing
journey for all people who seek to live in ways of peace.

Walking in the Sacred is a realm where trust and courage ask much of
ordinary people, where the peaceful way is the power and hope is the
purpose. It affirms the ancient weave of our beginnings, the oneness
that brings us to the universal lore. It says that Maori and Hopi speak
with one voice, that Maori and Celt are of one mind, that Maori and Zulu
have one knowing, that Maori and Haida Indian are of the same ancestors.
Walking in the Sacred brings us back to the source. It tells us that
what we thought was lost has merely been held safe until this time of
need.
