Tree People talks about Sustainable Community.

On June 11, Transition Town LA will host Andy Lipkis, founder and
president of TreePeople, in a discussion about the role of community
in making Los Angeles more resilient. Lipkis will explore what is a
functioning community forest, and using successful TreePeople
campaigns as models, he will describe his organization's next steps in
retrofitting Los Angeles' homes to create a more sustainable water
system.

Joanne Poyourow, founder of Environmental Change Makers, will place
this talk within the context of Transition Town's positive response to
climate change and peak oil. The dialogue that follows will allow for
questions and participation of the audience.
