[Lapg] Green walls, other apartment dwelling sustainable solutions

I'm doing some research on apt dwelling sustainable solutions - found this green wall

but was wondering if there are any permaculturists or other designers out there doing edible green walls....

Best recommendation for vertical gardening design or small scale indoor aquaponics?  

There is also sprouting and wheatgrass and indoor worm bins and container balcony gardening. Any other ideas for food production in an apartment or other small space? 

Mainly looking at food production but also interested in energy solutions and stacked functions of these.
