Subject: Bunny -- PLEASE HELP!!

Hello! We "inherited" a bunny -- and really need to find a better home for

this special little creature. It started several weeks ago when we were

driving home around midnight and saw a bunny running down the road. We

stopped, picked him up, and took him home, planning to find the owner the

next day. We canvassed the neighborhood with flyers, and it seems this

little bunny is known around the neighborhood -- it evidently escapes its

home (owner doesn't seem to care), eats plants from neighbors' gardens, and

runs freely on the local streets. The "owner" said that she wants to find a

home for it, and the neighbors say that if they see it again they will take

him to a shelter. We took custody of the little creature ourselves, fearful

that if we returned it, it would escape (again) and be killed by a local dog

or one of the many coyotes that we hear howling every night. We're not

suitable owners, as we have a big dog.

This truly is a magical little creature -- he's potty trained, comes to us

when we call it, and just wants to jump up onto our laps and be petted and

held. He's the most affectionate creature we've met, absolutely amazing, and

we would keep him if we could. He loves to run around to burn up energy,

loves attention, never bites, and makes a perfect little companion. He's

part dwarf Hotot, quite petite, and shouldn't grow to be much larger than he

is. The ex-owner guesses he's around six months old.

The bunny comes with a big cage for indoors, a large outdoor wooden hutch,

and a little carrying cage. We're determined to find a PERFECT owner for the

bunny, somewhere safe for him but also somewhere that will provide the

attention he deserves as well as plenty of open space to run around. (After

calling him "he" the entire time, I hope he's actually a male -- we're not

sure).

Might you be able to help?? We need to find a home for him ASAP, as we have

a big dog in the home, and both creatures are getting a bit distressed. Do

you have any suggestions of how we can find the right home for him? We

really appreciate your help here!

Best Regards,
