An Eco-Adventure Film 45 years in the making with 
stunning original footage from Bali, Mexico, 
Portugal, New Zealand, Utah, and Australia, with 
young maverick sports pioneers exploring a world 
that no longer exists. Meeting along the way surf 
legends, extreme sports pioneers, and scientists 
on the leading edge of alternative energy.

Vintage shots of young innovators as they 
discover and evolve the sports of surfing, 
wakeboarding, snowboarding, hangliding, bungee 
jumping, kite surfing, and more. A poignant look 
at how much our world has changed in 40 years, 
with a hope to rekindle a love of the wild.

Clive Neeson, extreme sports pioneer, film-maker, 
and physicist will be available for Q&A following 
the film.

	 I nternational Eco-adventure film Last 
Paradise, by New Zealand film maker Clive Neeson, 
captures 45 years of stunning original footage 
from places like Bali, Mexico, Portugal, New 
Zealand, Utah, and Australia with young maverick 
sports pioneers exploring a world that no longer 
exists. 

	Meeting along the way surf legends like 
Miki Dora, Gerry Lopez, George Greenough, Kevin 
Jarrett and others integral to extreme sports 
development, these young inquisitive surf kids 
later encounter and are influenced by renowned 
physicist Professor Bruce Liley, disciple of 
Ernest Rutherford, who proposed an alternative 
energy plan for New Zealand in the 1970's.

	The son of wildlife photographers, 
Neesonís life was one big adventure.  Starting 
with his parentsí footage of his and his brothers 
action-packed 1960s childhood in Africa and New 
Zealand,  Last Paradise later graduates to 
vintage shots of young innovators as they 
discover and evolve the sports of  surfing, 
wakeboarding, snowboarding, hang gliding, 
windsurfing, bungee jumping, and kite surfing 
while traveling to remote corners of the world. 
Over time, Neeson saw that his 45 years of 
records of good times, faraway places, and 
adrenaline-pumping feats could tell a larger 
story.

	Living a double life between extreme 
sports madman and the conservative scientific 
community, Clive Neeson filmed the journey from 
experimental beginnings, while building his own 
filming accessories to get a closer perspective 
of action sports.  Studying atomic physics and 
electronics, Neeson worked internationally in 
energy development and technology innovation 
including the first climate monitoring systems.

	Last Paradise is an inspiring showcase of 
early pioneering adventures in extreme sports 
that doubles as a poignant look at how much our 
world has changed in 40 years---culturally, 
environmentally and technologically.  By 
rekindling a love of the wild and tapping the 
powerful forces of nature Neeson suggests 
tomorrow's potential protectors of the planet are 
the kids that play in it today.

   In 2007, Neeson had the unique opportunity to 
digitally master 45 years of film footage at 
Peter Jackson's Park Road Post, Wellington, 
allowing him to create and share Last Paradise 
with the world. The event will include a question 
and answer period with Clive Neeson following the 
film.
