Roberto Perez, who many have seen in the documentary, The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil, and was also one of the key organizing hosts for the International Permaculture Convergence in Cuba in 2011, has always had his eye on the prize, modeling a sustainable future for his country and the world.  (lot’s of permaculture in the mix)

Roberto’s wife Michelle is launching a modest crowdfund to help her husband get his Green House B&B dream launched, asking only $5 from all who can give and share.   Money is such a powerful unit of energy, $5 so little, but can do so much.  Cuban’s don’t have access to capital like the rest of us, they can’t even start businesses in same way we do, so this is quite miraculous what he is attempting.  And even ordinary plumbing & building supplies, due to the forever and ever, ongoing US Embargo, difficult to find and buy in Cuba.

Let’s share, so he can share, local to global, always an excellent model!   see below for how -  ($5 is good, but for $100, the perk is a free week at the Green House B&B)

Dear friends of Roberto,

Roberto Perez is renovating an old house in Havana, Cuba, to turn it into a Social Enterprise; a Sustainability Training Centre and Bed and Breakfast (B&B).

From the house Roberto will teach low cost or free permaculture courses to Cubans and farmers, supported by the income from the B&B.

NOW- We are raising money to surprise Roberto with the funds he needs to get Roberto’s Green House open for business by 2020.

We are asking if you can make a $5 donation to support Roberto’s work.

Please donate and learn more at: https://chuffed.org/project/robertos-green-house

Thanks for your support,

Michelle Grattan
