EARLY BIRD TICKET PRICES END AUGUST 15!

Be sure to take advantage of the great ticket prices we're offering up until August 15. The reason we offer early bird prices is because it helps us put on a better event when you purchase tickets early, and this gives you a great reason to help us do that!

So if you know you are coming, go ahead and get those tickets now! We have a fantastic line up of activities, presenters, hands on, entertainment and more. Many of the most experienced designers will be there, and there will be a lot of information and potential connections shared. This convergence is shaping up to make history in a number of different ways! We hope to see you there!

SEED EXCHANGE

Please bring seeds from your garden to share at the North American Permaculture Convergence. The diverse community at the NAPC represents unique microclimates from all over the country. As permaculturalists, we cherish heirloom seed varieties and grow them in our gardens year after year. We have an affinity for useful and rare plants that can thrive and offer multiple functions to our home habitats. The seed exchange is an opportunity for us to share and expand the surplus from our gardens. We expect to have a diversity of varieties from permaculture gardens and farms around the country. Don’t miss your chance to share your seed and your stories of its reliability and remarkable nature. Please label all seed with the name, variety, and location harvested. There will be an area and times for the seed exchange.

May the seed be exhaustless….

PROGRAMMING – WHAT IS PLANNED?

The NAPC is a historic moment. It marks the cusp of a new era, the turning of the wheel, the passing of the guard. Who knows when the next NAPC will happen but there will never be the chance to attend the 1st NAPC again. Be a part of this historic event. Here are a few of the activities that we have lined up for you!

Also, be sure to check out pre- and post- Convergence events. NAPC is not organizing these events but is coordinating with these groups so as to offer people more opportunities when they are making travel plans.

SPONSOR SOMEONE TO ATTEND

Can't attend yourself? Please consider sponsoring someone else to attend. Some very worthy candidates have applied for our scholarship fund. You can read about some of them HERE.

Please pass along the info about our scholarship fund to your connections!

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE

DO YOU NEED A RIDE? Let people know on our “Rideshare” page. If no response, let us know asap. Are you flying in to the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport or Rochester International Airport? Amtrak? Need a ride from your location?

CAN YOU OFFER A RIDE? If you are driving to NAPC from any directions (or distance) and have room for a fellow traveler please let us know in case we can link you up with someone along your route who needs a ride.

It appears that most people will be driving to NAPC including some long-distance carpooling. Some participants will be arriving by plane and train. We are looking for a permaculturist in the Twin Cities area who knows the community and the roads who can help coordinate ride shares for our long distance travelers as well as carpools of local residents. We hope to see a big turnout to NAPC from the Twin Cities area in particular and Minnesota in general. Which Minneapolis area permaculturists is willing to help get our travelers to the event?

If you need a ride or can offer a ride contact:

Blake Robbins at designingcommunity at gmail.com or

Michael Pilarski at friendsofthetrees at yahoo.com
