As many of you already know, the recent fires in San Diego swept through
the Hubbell home and studio. Anne and James were evacuated, and are doing
well.

When you read this, James and Anne Hubbell may have water, electricity and
telephone once more, and most of the debris will have been cleared. But
they will not again have the home, studio, personal possessions and 40
year's collection of sculpture, glass and paintings. These were destroyed
in the firestorm. You can now see the full report of the damage and
pictures on the web site www.hubbellandhubbell.com.

The fire could not damage the spirit which makes the location so unique, or
the vision James and Anne hold regarding how to rebuild. Long-term plans
for transferring the property to the Ilan-Lael Foundation and establishing
a sanctuary of creativity, beauty and peace making are now underway.

There was no insurance. For the immediate needs of rebuilding and
regaining the capacity to create, we do need your donations. See How to
Help on the web site.

This Thursday on PBS television in San Diego, at 6:30 p.m. the program Full
Focus will broadcast a special report on the damage done, and the dream yet
to come.

Please forward this message to all those whom you know who will want to

help.
