Permaculture Design Course Maui, HI June 17-July 1, 2004
This first course of an ongoing curriculum, will be focused upon 
understanding how to develop an overall landscaping design for this 
ten-acre property.  Kolealea has diverse environments and multiple uses to 
consider.

Not your ordinary farmer,  Marian Scott is a   woman of great wisdom, an 
elder among us,  who in the early 1980's, studied with Bill Mollison, the 
originator of the concept of  permaculture.  Marian began her own teaching 
and Permaculture design career in 1982.  She currently lives on Maui where 
she has a suburban, drylands Permaculture
What you will learn:

    *           To observe the elements of an environment and
    *           Evolve a design to maximize productivity, utility and beauty.
    *           How to organize communities to produce their own food.
    *           How to practically live in balance with your environment.
    *           How and why to guide your community/island to achieve 
sustainability
    *           How to produce your own food, under most cirumstances
    *           To be part of the solution - not a part of the problem!
    *           Forests and their role in the cycle of climate and waterm
    *           Plant and animal interactions
    *           Making fertile soil
    *           Harvesting energy from a landscape
For 14 days and nights, you will live together, learn together, work 
together and create together.  This experience will change you and it will 
give you the knowledge and the wisdom to positively impact the world around 
you.

$ 950 tuition for 14 day training $1,950 includes tuition plus food & lodging
