Instructors: Bill Melvin, Marco Lam and several guest instructors

With its roots in sustainable agriculture, Permaculture envelops 
methodologies for sustainable living design including energy efficiency, 
land based economies, organic food production, appropriate technology, 
human dynamics and housing. Through hands-on projects, tours, videos, 
lectures and guest speakers, students will learn the principles of 
Permaculture design both here in the Rocky Mountains and beyond. We will 
explore many realms including water resource management, off the grid 
energy production, alternative building structures, patterns of nature, 
plant propagation, aquaculture, alternative economic structures, and much 
more. Upon completion of this course, students will earn a Certificate of 
Permaculture Design and be on their way to creating interactive, 
sustainable systems.


Cost: $900 (includes lunch each day), $50 discount prior to July 1st
Limited housing is available at Hedgerow for an additional $100
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to register for this course

Some scholarships are available for this class based on financial need. If
