[Sdpg] Homes for the Future Tour/Presented by Eco-Home Network

AND/OR VOLUNTEER!!!!
 
On Saturday, October 1st and (somewhat less) on Sunday, October 2nd, the
Eco-Home Network will once again be presenting, along with the "Solar Amigos",
the HOMES FOR THE FUTURE TOUR.  This is in affiliation with the American Solar
Energy Society's NATIONAL SOLAR TOUR, but our homes offer so much more to see
than just solar power!
 
As of right now, the homes on the Tour are:
 The Forbes home in Sylmar, the Mackey home in Sun Valley, the
Williams/Baumgart home in La Canada, the Schneider home in Mt. Washington, and
the Grodner  home in the Hollywood Hills.  All of these will be open on
Saturday, Oct. 1st, from 10am to 4pm, and the Forbes, Mackey, and Grodner
homes
will also be open on Sunday, 10-4.  Please check our website for more info as

Many of you have already visited some of the homes participating, but even
those have additional features since the last Tour, or Eco-Home Network Open
House.
 
We're asking for a donation of $10.00 for Eco-Home members, $15.00 for
non-members, and $5.00 for students.  This covers all the homes, both days.
 
AND - I am, of course looking for volunteers to welcome people to the homes
and
accept ticket money.  I hope to have two volunteers at each home at all times,
and hope to have two shifts - early and late!  That way the volunteers will be
able to "Tour" a home or two themselves. Please let me know as soon as you can
if you are interested in volunteering for either (or both?) day(s).  If you
don't know what hours work for you yet, let me know anyway if you're
interested.
