FYI, San Diego Permaculturists, don't miss the grand opening of the Friends Center this weekend. It's a great example of permaculture in action, from the collaborative effort among organizations that provides its foundation, to the strawbale building with its sustainable materials, and the edible garden that surrounds it.

With a unique instrumental combination, East West offers a fresh, dynamic sound that is a new take on jazz standards, traditional melodies and original compositions. Reiko Obata, of East West, is one of the leading American koto players. A native Californian, she studied under masters in the U.S. and Japan.
