Dear SDPG community,

There are many industrial energy projects proposed for the deserts of the western US and Baja Mex. which will impact tribal heritage, biodiversity, and human health. All the energy generated will be transmitted out of the (low income) areas where it is generated and sold to ratepayers in coastal cities. Many of the energy projects' proponents are positioning them as "renewable energy", although upon close scrutiny, they are not even carbon neutral. If you are concerned about creating a viable renewable energy future, protecting biodiversity, tribal heritage and human health, then please attend a court hearing tomorrow at the San Diego Federal Courthouse about the Ocotillo Wind Express project that is proposed for the deserts of Imperial Valley. The hearing is set for 2:00 PM on Friday, May 18th before Judge Hayes at the Federal District Courthouse in San Diego on the Quechan Tribe’s Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order. Judge Hayes is in Courtroom 4. The interested public is of course welcome to attend. Parking can be tough so take trolley, carpool and give your self time for travel and parking. Thank You. Jane Higginson
Here's a link that shows a map and the address of the courthouse.
