Community Composter Internship - Unpaid
32 hours spread over January 2018 through April 2018
Average of 2 hours every week or 4 hours every other week.

Food2Soil is a people-powered approach to recovering value from waste. Our
programs build community capacity to divert foodscraps, replenish our local
soil and create jobs in the process. Our compost technicians are ‘Soil

During this internship you will work as an assistant to a lead community
composter. You will learn the steps in the process of composting beginning
from collection of foodscraps to distribution and sale of finished
compost.  Upon successful completion of the program you will have the
opportunity to take on a paid position with Food2Soil by starting a new
community composting hub.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about people-powered and
enterprise based solutions to waste diversion and soil regeneration. An
ideal candidate is one who is disciplined, enjoys learning in an hands on
manner, loves the outdoors (sun and rain) and being around people. You must
be physically fit and able to lift weights.

This is an unpaid 32 hour internship spread over 4 months from January 2018
through April 2018. If accepted into the program you will be required to
commit to a set schedule of 2 hours every week or 4 hours every other week.

Details on how you will use this experience to start a community composting
hub in your neighborhood will receive favorable consideration.

Deadline to submit applications January 3, 2018. Decisions will be made on
a rolling basis so interested candidates are encouraged to apply early. We
have 4 internships available.
