PERMACULTURE FOR RESILIENCE: A DESIGN CERTIFICATION COURSE FOR PEOPLE WORKING IN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT


This two-week Permaculture Design Certification course is designed to prepare you to engage in partnership with communities to design ecologically and economically holistic, appropriate, strategic and effective agricultural systems.


Teachers include Warren Brush and Thomas Cole, consultants for USAID that developed the official approach to resilience farming for Mercy Corps and Food for Peace (PDF available here). The teaching team also includes Pandora Thomas, brilliant social permaculture activist and changemaker, Lindsay Allen, co-creator and manager of Boston Medical Center’s rooftop garden, and Brenton Kelly, hydrology wizard.
