Good morning Solar Living Institute alumni, friends and colleagues,

We hope you are all doing well in your own ventures. And enjoying this cool summer!
We wanted to let you know that this weekend we are proposing a fantastic natural building workshop down in El Sobrante, north east of San Francisco (just above Richmond).
Join us for our 2 day "Build an Earth Oven" workshop with Marisha Farnsworth. We will be building an earth/cob oven from the ground up. Get your hands in the mud and play with various mixes and plaster. Our Instructor Marisha will share her design process, talking about environmental considerations, choice of materials, size of the oven, long term maintenance and use. Students will be introduced to: the properties of cob, stone work, earth plaster and the general attributes of working with natural materials. Not only are these fantastic ovens a beautiful addition to any garden but they will also provide you with a chance to bake your own wood fried bread and pizzas for the next 50 years!
Spend you vacation weekend doing something different this year and come and camp out at this private residence in El Sobrante. A beautiful location where you will also see other straw bale building and bamboo structures and get to share ideas and thoughts with like minded folk.

Take advantage of our special offer and register today to get a 25% discount quote "CobOven 25". So pay only $90 for a two day workshop with free camping!

Let's keep building the future!

Sustainably,

Gilly
