Wanted to let everyone know what is going on so far on the Toxic Tour.  Would 
like very much to get groups interested in being involved/participating to 
meet in the next couple of weeks to discuss what we want to do & how to

Lompoc
• stop studying, take action
• alternatives

Ventura
• kids are the most vulnerable, and they are exposed everywhere
• public health should be DPR’s primary message

SLO
• kids and schools
• farmworker safety issues
• Ag Commissioner listens and it is possible for the relationship to not be 
adverserial

Watsonville
• kids and schools
• workers are most impacted

LA
• if we can do it, anybody can
• take kids out of the line of fire

Other ideas
• if workers are safe, everybody will be protected
• ground water and surface water
• tell it like a story

Messages to pull out
1. Protect our most vulnerable populations- kids and farmworkers.
2. Take action and start promoting alternatives.
3. Real people are being impacted and are demanding change.
4. There are 2 paths to take.
