Hi folks. At the next meeting we're going to have a presentation, based on
positive response at the February meeting. Steve Sprinkel, an organic
farmer and former organic certifier, and Jim Churchill, Ojai farmer, will
give a brief overview of some of the issues relating to genetically
modified organisms in agriculture -- depending on the time available, we'll
cover some or all of the following:
    how genetically modified crops/ag products are created
    a brief history of gmo's in ag
    environmental concerns
    food safety concerns
    moral/ethical/spiritual concerns

The meeting will be at the EDC office at 31 Oak Street (for the last time;
EDC is moving by the end of the month), at 6 pm on Wednesday, March 22.
There will be real food and the usual collection of beverages.

Since we'll also no doubt want to do some of the regular info sharing that
we usually get into, we'll negotiate the starting time of the presentation
based on how much other info we need to cover.
