		JULIE	,

How many chicken? Do you want eggs or meat or both ? What space do you
dispose of. Can you go free range? Are there coyote, racoons snake,
possums. check http:// www.mcmurrayhatchery.com. Personally I have 11 rhode
island reds and two roosters. They provide eggs for breakfast; a dozen eggs
every two days. They come in at night and take field trips in chicken
tractor: 8 feet x 4 'x 4' They need dust for fleas, water, grain, greens
from kitchen and some oyster shell or zeolithe to control odors and shell
strength. They need to be able to go up and roost and need boxes with
straw to lay eggs in . I also recommend "chicken blues" by the late Clarence
Gatemouth brown"
" He heard some noise , took his shotgun, walked to the shed an hollerd who
is there ? And this is what he heard: Aint' nobody but us chicken. We
chicken are trying to sleep, tomorrow is a busy day, got ground to scratch,
eggs to lay.... Chicken make you happy. Regards Pierre Constans ,
Permaculture designer.
