You are invited to a special talk at
Los Angeles Eco-Village

Friday, June 15 at 7:30 pm

with

LAIRD SCHAUB
author, lecturer, trainer on how to productively use consensus and
conflict in community

at
117 Bimini
Los Angeles Eco-Village
(one block east of Vermont, one block south of First Street, a few blocks
from the Beverly/Vermont Metro or the 204 busline)

Laird's work with the Fellowship for Intentional Community over the past
15 years has helped set a new standard for community living across the U.S.
He co-authored the "Communities Directory: A Guide to Cooperative Living,"
edits the quarterly "Communities Magazine," has lectured and led workshops
throughout the U.S. on consensus and conflict in organizations,
neighborhoods, ecovillages, cohousing communities and other intentional
communities. Laird has been involved in learning and teaching consensus
decision making processes for 27 years.

Organizing efforts for neighborhood councils are very much underway in the
City of Los Angeles as we prepare for a new era of government and
participation. What role can the consensus process play in creating
healthier more sustainable neighborhoods overall in ways that are in the
best interest of the city at large? We invite you to join us in learning
what Laird has to say about the possibilities.

Please RSVP to Lois Arkin, 213/738-1254 (space is limited)
