Ojai Permaculture Discussion Group in Monthly Meeting Starting Tues Oct.
29, 7 pm
Tues Oct. 29, 7 pm
at Paul Herder and Dorothy Wallstein's House
"Lettuce Bee Mini Farm"
1329 N. Montgomery St. (Please go up the drive to the REAR house,
NOT the guest house on the street.) Ojai phone 646-0752
Even if you know where North Montgomery Street is, the
directions to get to the meeting are IMPORTANT TO NOTE as North
Montgomery Street is NOT what it seems...
To get to the disconnected end of the street where we live, you must
go up N. Montgomery from Ojai Ave, BUT TURN RIGHT ON GRAND, then LEFT
on DALY, LEFT on ANDREW, and THEN RIGHT on the LOST END OF NORTH
MONTGOMERY STREET. We are in the rear house at 1329 N. Montgomery
Street. (If you don't turn on Grand, you will reach a dead end, before
you get to our number.)

Nov 9 Sat Healthy Watersheds: A Goal of Community Stewardship with
Permaculture Teacher Dr Bill Roley
Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens Santa Barbara
This class explores the factors necessary to maintain regenerative cycles
within our healthy watersheds. A series of plans and strategies, based on
permaculture techniques utilizing soil-water-plant designs and
methodologies, have been used around the world. Demonstrations of
bioengineering and landscape features, with an emphasis on local watershed
designs, illustrate successful projects that can be integrated into the
community environmental fabric. Efforts in ecological restoration and water
harvesting features improve our sense of stewardship and the biological
integrity of the ecology of watersheds.
