Livable Communities:
Curitiba to Santa Barbara & In Between
moderated by Bud Laurent

Every community needs a collective vision---one that balances social,
economic,
and enviromental factors

A civic debate is occurring in cities and towns across America. Increasing
numbers of people are dissastified with the pattern of development that have
dominated the past 50 years. This series will look at a number of exciting
new
(and old)p patterns that are making cities more livable. Examples will be
drawn form Curitiba, Brazil, Europe, and from European and American
Cities---especially those in the West, including our own Santa Barbara.

Tues, Oct 28 (2nd in a series of 5 evening programs)
Intergating Land Use and Transportation
plus rescheduled viewing of video/trip to Curitiba, Brazil

Where: Fleischmann Auditorium, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History,
2559 Puesta del Sol Rd, Santa Barbara.
Time: 7pm
