This Thursday, April 22nd from 10am to 4pm Patagonia's Ventura retail 
store will celebrate Earth Day with a festive event showcasing the 
efforts of local non-profit organizations that work to protect the 
environment.

The store, located at 235 West Santa Clara Street in Ventura, will 
host approximately 15 environmental non-profits, including The 
Surfrider Foundation, Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation, 
Matilija and Sespe Fly Fishers, Environmental Defense Center, 
California Native PlantSociety, Keep the Sespe WIld and Ojai's Center 
for Regenerative Agriculture.

The event will feature live music provided by Jonathan Raffetto and 
adrawing for Patagonia products.  A variety of hybrid-electric 
vehicles will be on display.

Representatives of Patagonia will be on hand to talk more about the 
company's environmental initiatives.  Patagonia supports the efforts 
of environmental organizations by donating 1% of net sales to 
grassroots environmental non-profits.  Recognized for its commitment 
to quality and
environmental activism, Patagonia offers clothing made from organic 
cotton, hemp, and PCR© (Post-Consumer Recycled) fiber, which is made 
from recycled plastic soda bottles.
