We are delighted to offer an Advanced Permaculture Course in Teaching,
with Jude Hobbs and Tom Ward, this June at Wolf Gulch Farm in Southern
Oregon. With hundreds of
graduates of the Permaculture Design Course in the United States,
 we hope that many will take the opportunity to deepen their understanding
of how to convey 
the philosophy and practice of Permaculture to others.  Jude and Tom¹s

Permaculture Teacher Training

with Jude Hobbs and Tom Ward

In this dynamic, interactive and entertaining course learn powerful
techniques in communicating whole
systems education to others by applying Permaculture design principles to
teaching.  Jude and Tom
have developed a curriculum that offers in-depth exposure to curriculum
design, presentation skills,
and practical methods for organizing, managing and designing courses and
workshops.   They act as
guides in developing your teaching skills by discussing a wide variety of
teaching strategies and techniques.
  Innovative experiences are created, addressing varied learning styles and
utilizing your unique strengths
and talents. Group exercises, module building and team presentations round
out the experience by including
the essential hands-on aspects of the course.

Jude Hobbs and Tom Ward have a combined experience of over 30 years of
teaching and in-the-field-design,
 including teaching three previous Permaculture Teacher's Training courses
together. They supply a vast library
of information for you to peruse.

Jude Hobbs is a horticulturist, Permaculture designer, and instructor. She
has presented workshops and courses throughout the
West for 15 years, developing curricula that encompass diverse learning
styles. Since 1982, Jude's landscape design business
has provided environmental design solutions for both urban and rural
settings. She has written "A Guide to Multi-Functional
Hedgerows" and tends a forest garden in Eugene, Oregon. This course was
modeled after Max Lindeggar and Lea Harrison¹s
1990 Permaculture Teacher Training, which Jude attended.

Tom Ward is an ethno-botanist, eco-forester and Permaculture designer. He
has extensive multi-cultural experience in the
USA and overseas. He is the author of "Greenward Ho: An Ecological Approach
to Sustainable Health". Tom has developed
curricula for Permaculture courses at Laney College and D-Q University in
California. He has taught Permaculture Design
Courses for 17 years and is based in Ashland, Oregon where he has worked
building  ecotopian cultures for 26 years.

Course Tuition: $600 (includes course materials, camping and three daily
organic meals)

Prerequisite: Permaculture Design Course Certificate or equivalent
experience in Permaculture

Location: Wolf Gulch Farm, Jacksonville, Oregon.  Wolf Gulch is a
Permaculturally designed organic farm in the beautiful
 Siskiyou Mountains.  Camping with some indoor accommodations. Sauna and hot
tub facilities are available to participants.
Wolf Gulch is surrounded by miles of forest trails and is located two miles
from a swimming hole on the Little Applegate River.
Classes will take place in a straw bale retreat center.
