May 23: LiFE & DEBT
Learn how the IMF and globalization policies have maintained poverty in
Jamaica, America's playground for tourists oblivious to the political
realities.
May 30: THiRST
About the privatization of water: in Bolivia, India and Stockton, California.
"Thirst is a remarkable film. The looming freshwater crisis is the greatest
environmental and human rights crisis of our time. Not surprisingly, the move
is on by powerful corporations and governments to commodify and cartelize the
world’s water supplies for power and profit. “Thirst” is the story of
this
assault and the fight to stop it." — Maude Barlow
June 6: Ram Dass FiERCE GRACE
A moving portrait of this modern spiritual teacher who keeps sharing his
profound wisdom even after being "stroked." "Mickey Lemle's fascinating
overview
of Ram Dass's extraordinary spiritual journey is a wonder to behold." —
Spirituality & Health

June 13: DROWNED OUT
Featuring Arundhati Roy. An Indian family chooses to stay at home and drown
rather than make way for the Narmada Dam. Winner of numerous awards. "An
inspiring record of a quite extraordinary campaign of mass resistance, at once
angry, compassionate, disturbing and yet empowering, it makes for urgent and
necessary viewing..." Critics Choice, Time Out (London)

June 20: HAiTi: HARVEST OF HOPE
& The Greening of Cuba
Harvest of Hope is the quintessential primer for understanding the roots of
the current crisis in Haiti. The film dramatically captures seminal moments in
the history of Jean-Bertrand Aristide and the Lavalas movement that swept him
into the presidency in December 1990.

June 27: PEACE, PROPAGANDA & THE PROMiSED LAND
Produced by the superb Media Education Foundation, this documentary reveals
the truth of how the US news about Israel and the Middle East is filtered.
Interviews include Seth Ackerman, Mjr. Stav Adivi, Rabbi Arik Ascherman, Hanan
Ashrawi, Noam Chomsky, Robert Fisk, Dr. Neve Gordon, Toufic Haddad, Sam
Husseini,
Hussein Ibish, Robert Jensen, Rabbi Michael Lerner, Karen Pfeifer, Alisa
Solomon, and Gila Svirsky.
